Direct Support Professional
The Direct Service Professional communicates positively and effectively with a wide variety of individuals in this service profession and must adapt quickly to change. Â This position provides support in helping each individual meet their outcomes based on their Individual Service Plan, which includes but is not limited to assisting with personal hygiene, budgeting, purchasing personal items, behavioral management, food purchasing and preparation, social/recreational skills, and counseling in areas such as interpersonal relationships. Â Direct Service Professionals work closely and communicate information regarding problems, conflicts, and services needs to Program Specialists in order to provide effective services. It is a requirement of this position that employees uphold the values of The Arc and advocate in the best interest of the individuals they serve.Â
Residential Support Professional
The Residential Support Professional provides support in helping each individual meet their outcomes based on their Individual Service Plan in a home setting. Residential Support Professionals work closely with individuals and communicate information regarding problems, conflicts, and service needs to Program Specialists in order to provide effective care.  Residential Support Professionals are responsible for day-to-day household tasks including but not limited to meal preparation, transportation, and administration of medication and general cleaning.
Residential Program Specialist
The Residential Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating programmatic aspects of Residential while complying with the Chapter 6400 Regulations. A Residential Program Specialist is responsible for up to, but no more than, eight Residential Homes and for maintaining individual files, working closely with Crawford County Human Services and developing and supervising the implementation of all Individual Support Plans.
